How can you do that if you can't hear? Or Have trouble hearing or speaking?
yes you can use a tty but what if you are on the go?
Whoops been a long time since i posted !
I'm having a great time! Riding has been so good since i last posted .
Riding three days week. Twice a week at the barn and one once week at an other barn. So good so far.

I have been back on Alex for a while. I just adore him!. I now canter ! Yahoo. We are doing dressage mainly but I started Oh yes I started Jumping! I'm only doing that every second week in 3rd lesson same day as my regular lesson on Wednesdays . Because of that I'm riding thunder in my regular lesson on weds . He is a doll.Then i jump Alex in that 3rd lesson every second week.
Only just started jumping But Its been fun so far. Not that my mother likes that! she wishes i would stick to dressage which is what I am mostly doing. I am mostly focusing on dressage i just want to try jumping besides Alex is a good one to learn on. The jumping is also giving him and i a break of dressage. Not that i don't love it i do .
Other barn
Originally i wanted to ride three days week so i ended up at this other barn. It mostly able bodied riders . Its been good. Mostly focusing on good basics. Fun ! I rode a cute pony the other day ! If i wasn't so into para-equestrian dressage i would just ride ponies.

Originally i decided two blogs weren't enough apparently and i decided i needed one where i could just talk about books. So from the description and title of that blog (the book Pile) you could see i am a book lover. But I decided could do it as well here so i deleted the blog.

I have been reading forever (Since mom taught me how when i was a preschooler ! I think that what she told me .)Whenever i went the hospitals as kid for surgery's and appointments and when i was bored i 'd read. Stories would take me away from the pain and loneliness i felt as a child. With all my problems that was quite a lot and still is as an adult

But tonight I ended up going to the local fall candidates meeting for our ring for the federal election coming up. It was interesting how the local candidates answered people's questions. I could not hear very well but still it was somewhat interesting .
I kinda know who the candidates are but not really any one i particularly like . I like the greens sort of but also kinda like NDP person. Not really sure who i will vote for yet but i will vote. I think voting part of One's citizenship right and responsibility.
We need a New party. One that is completely different ands stands out. I mean even the liberal are talking about being green in someways. The environment is a big issue now and it should be.
i noticed at the meeting there wasn't any real talk about people with disabilities and quality of life. I wasn't happy about that. People in some ways still don't consider people with disabilities people in some ways people still which get me mad.
Our government what ever that ends up being,needs to do a disabilities act. Yes, I know we have a human rights act(I did a paper for law 12 when I was in high school on the difference between our Human Rights law and The ADA (American Disabilities Act) but we need something that carefully make sure that us, the disabled have equal rights to everything .
I Hope that happens becaue in oder to do that we need the power of the people make that happen and voting is a start.

Still riding of course... if they told mei not to ride.... If they did i probably wouldn't listen.Not that would want to make me stop doing it. .... I love the sport to much especially the horses ! :-)

The net A Wondful thing but makes you wastetime too. Ilove net sites butreantly my bigestt timewaster is Networking sites . They pull us in and once someone is in. OH NO!! Your addicted !! Its nice is someways nice since i managed to reconnect with old friends (Yahoo!!)
It lets me make plans with friends which is great since talking on the phone is not easy for me (Gotta love being Hard of hearing1 ) so plan are either made on Facebook(Mostly now) or MSN Messenger but is Facebook easier to do .
BUT ..... I am addicted to it now! *runs off to check Facebook* Its Fun but addicting. I love seeings what my friends are upto and stuff.Finding intersting sites is a Fun part of wasting mytime on th web

Recently I Joined This online network site for people with disabilities called Disaboom (Awesome site By The way!) and happened to look. at an interesting thread which i found while i was on the website. I Then went to read her blog post about her experience with a fast food restaurant in the states (the post is Called Steak and Shake Denies Service) which left me appalled at what happened.
That lead me to thinking how accessible our world is. Accessibility across countries differs but also in cities. Accessibility means being able to have a normal life as possible as it can be for each person. Some solutions are simple and some are not but every one should be able to access the world.
A deaf person should be able to go straight to the order window instead of using the speaker because they need to lipread to understand server. That is a Accessibility solution for someone who is deaf. Being hard of hearing myself i can understand the customers reaction . Its also a easy accessibility solution to put into place.
Solutions can be be easy to put in place or not but this world has to be made accessible as it can possibly be. Yes There is different disabilities and people are different but there must be more accessibility standards like ADA but even then that might not help people.
A deaf person has the right to go through a drive through like everyone else and be Served Properly. That means being able to go straight to the order window. Whether or not a person lives in the US,Canada or another country disabled people have the right to do everyday things like ordering through a drive though like everyone else without question.
